HISTORY

The introduction of 'PLUGA' 100 mm submersible pumps into India began a dream of our late Chairman Shri M V Joshi. In the 1960s, when submersible pumps were practically unknown, he introduced the concept submersibles in India with the technology of Pleuger, Germany has initiated a huge industry from Ahmedabad to Coimbatore and submersible pumps were a key driver in ground water irrigation which enabled the agricultural revolution in India Mr M V Joshi went on to become the President of the Indian Pump manufacturer's Association and led many delegations all over the world.

In 1987, he saw a new opportunity in the introduction of engineering plastic 4" (100 mm) pumps to replace inefficient jet pumps and compressor pumps. This pioneering effort resulted in Shroffs Engineering Ltd (PLUGA) setting up a greenfield project with the collaboration of Pleuger GmbH, Germany, with advanced technology New Generation 100 mm Submersible Pumps.

PLUGA 100 mm submersible pump sets are now manufactured in India by Shroffs Engineering Limited in collaboration Pleuger GmbH, Germany.

PLUGA SUBMERSIBLE PUMP IS A HIGH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCT, MANUFACTURED WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY STANDARDS, USING CORROSION AND ABRASION RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL AND HIGH GRADE ENGINEERING POLYMER MATERIALS. THE PLUGA PUMP REVOLUTION HAS NOW SPREAD ALL OYER INDIA & IT IS NOW RECOGNIZED AS THE PREMIUM QUALITY LEADER OF SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS.

The 100 MM submersible pump is a well established generic product. The 'PLUGA' range now covers a wide range of submersible pumps 75 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm as well as openwell submersible pumps: horizontal & vertical, drainex pumps, mini monoblock pumps etc. The new modern integrated Factory at GIDC Savli is under construction, near Vadodara, India to increase the supply of PLUGA pumpsets and to meet the growing demand.

In fact, Shri M V Joshi's, dream is now global, with PLUGA submersible pumps being exported all over the World from Africa to the Middle East. PLUGA representatives are being appointed globally, beginning with Africa.

The PLUGA dream will now be shared by citizens of the world.
